La novena y última sinfonía de Beethoven, también conocida también como «Coral». Ludwig van Beethoven fue un genio, huelga decirlo. Esta es una de las obras más trascendentales, importantes y populares de la música y el arte. Lo más innovador fue el último movimiento, que es un final coral inusual en su época que se ha convertido en símbolo de la libertad. Es conocido con el himno de la alegría. La letra es una adaptación que hace Beethoven de la Oda a la Alegría del poeta alemán Friedrich Schiller, que conoció Beethoven en el año 1793, cuando tenía 23 años. Enseguida quiso musicalizarla, sin embargo no lo hizo hasta el año 1818 en que empieza a escribir su novena. En los años setentas el músico español Miguel Ríos la intepretó en un versión pop.
